online business

If you are really business-minded and you want to market your product in a singular way, it’s time you log on. Online deals these days have become great way to earn extra income, because they offer you plasticity. Many other businesses can be managed around your daily schedule and you can also join a part-time job to generate extra income.
To start your own business with product sales, you need to have your own website with a shopping cart and payment features. You may have a product that you either make or bake by yourself. You can put these products on your website focusing on the unique attributes of the product, so that they seem customized and personalized. With the entire world as your database, you can tell the world how different people had different experience with the Christmas cake that you sell.
Another way to earn money online is through service businesses. Instead of selling a product, you are providing work for someone. Maybe you’re the one who is developing a website. You could be a freelancer or a proofreader or write for print and online magazines. You could conduct research via the internet for others, or arrange the transportation and delivery of goods In addition to having your own business, you could get more opportunities through internet job sites. You can post your resume or bid on projects, and if you are selected, you could work with your client to complete the job, and then get paid – often without ever having to speak to each other. You’ll need to market your service business as well. Building relationships through business websites will help you to establish yourself as an authority. A website listing your services and other helpful information will give potential customers a better idea of who you are.
Advertising other people’s products can be another way. Look for vendors that offer related but non-competing products and see if they have an affiliate program. Stick to familiar products and brands - they're easier to sell.
However, in today’s tech-savvy world, it’s a much better way to reach out to prospects without spending a dime.

DEATH—THE ROAD TO SUBLIME TRANQUILITY

In Ying Di Wang (Fit for Emperors and Kings), there is a story in which Hundun (Chaos) was killed when he helped to bore seven openings for seeing, hearing, eating and breathing. According to Zhuangzi, "death" is nothing but a "rest." "When death befalls me, I begin my rest." So when his wife died, he sang to the beating of bronze bowls. But there were "Perfect Men" or "Godly Men" who were beyond life and death. They could attain a state in which "both heaven and earth exist with them and all things are one with them." However, this "living beyond life and death" is somewhat different from "living in eternity" and it is only meant for a "spiritual. Both life and death were but different states in which all things existed. To life, life is life, but to death, life is death; to life, death is death, but to death, death is life. So whenever life or death is mentioned, people just give out different views from different viewpoints. Since life and death are both states in which all things exist, when living, one should live in composure and, when dying, one should die in composure.

Everything had its beginning and end, sometimes gathered together and sometimes dispersed. The life of anything was supposed to be its beginning: "gathering takes a certain shape." The death of anything was supposed to be its end: "when dispersing, things go to nothingness." "By life is meant an air that gathers temporarily the ether of anything. Temporary gathering will eventually disperse and temporary ether will finally go to nothingness." Therefore, man should know his source and his final destination, namely deliverance. Both Guo Xiang and Zhang Zhan were influenced by the Daoist thought that both life and death were but natural phenomena. According to Confucius, to realize one’s idea one can "end one's life for benevolence" and "give one's life for righteousness." He also takes into consideration mankind's ultimate concerns. One must remember the outlook of the people during the time of Confucius. Deceased ancestors were thought to exercise power over the living, sacrifice to heaven was a common occurrence, and the practice of augury, or observing the signs from heaven like thunder, lightning, the flight of birds, etc.Confucius does not here deny an afterlife: he was too respectful and reverential. He simply insisted that a good man practices good not for rewards now or later on, but for the sake of the good life itself.Confucius does not deny an afterlife: he was too respectful and reverential. He simply insisted that a good man practices good not for rewards now or later on, but for the sake of the good life itself. Death did not mean annihilation and loss in some great void beyond the grave. Confucius clearly believed in some form of spiritual survival, and in the ongoing presence of those who have departed this life. Confucianism, the dilemma of the doctrine of retribution was solved by extending retribution to the individual soul, which continued to live in another form once it had been separated from the body at death. Whereas vertical retribution means the punishment of the son for the sins of the father in the world. The concept of retribution for the soul after death refers to the punishment of the same individual for sins he committed when alive. Though body and soul are separated after death, the soul continues in existence in another form and is punished for sins committed when body and soul were united. Derk Bodde states that humans have two souls: the hun and the p’o. The hun is the soul that leaves the body but is later compelled to return by a family member. The p’o eventually makes its way to the underworld and represents the dead’s raw energy.

In Buddhism, nirvana--is the Buddhist equivalent of moksha. None of us can avoid death and if we are not free from the vicious cycle of death and rebirth, we are doomed to the endless cycles of life and death and its paradoxical nature of suffering, of happiness and sadness, youth and ageing, healthiness and sickness, pain and death, all because we are so attached to the existence in the first place. Buddhists believe people are continually reborn into this world, unless they have achieved liberation (freedom) from samsara (the continual process of birth, death and rebirth). The Buddha experienced samsara when he saw the effects of old age and sickness, leading to death. Freedom from samsara occurs when a person has reached nirvana (or nibbana).Nirvana literally means extinguishing or unbinding. Life is suffering. You can never really achieve peace. Happiness is just the flip side of sadness and no material or emotional pleasure will sustain the longing in your soul to understand itself. Reincarnation" normally is understood to be the transmigration of a soul to another body after death. Based on his no-soul (annatto) doctrine, the Buddha described reincarnation or the taking on of a new body in the next life, in a different way than the traditional Indian understanding. He compared it to lighting successive candles using the flame of the preceding candle. Although each flame is causally connected to the one that came before it, is it not the same flame. Thus, in Buddhism, reincarnation is usually referred to as "transmigration." As Leonardo Da Vinci once wrote in his notebook; Just as a well spent day brings happy sleep, so a life well spent brings a happy death. If we have lived a life of emotional turmoil, of conflict selfish desire unconcerned for others, our dying will be full of regrets, troubles and pain. However, liberated souls living in the higher heavens could come down to earth and communicate with spiritually advanced people. The plane immediately below the human is that of animals and below it is other planes Niraya, Asura and Peta which are described as unhappy states of existence. Beings are born Petas as a result of greed and attachment to their worldly belongings and are drawn to the place of attachment. Buddhism tells of many hells, of which AvĂ®ci is the most terrible. They are of course all temporary and therefore purgatories rather than places of eternal punishment and the beings that inhabit them have the power of struggling upwards and acquiring merit, but the task is difficult and one may be born repeatedly in hell. The phraseology of Buddhism calls existences in heavens and hells new births. In Buddhism there are 37 different levels of heaven (that’s why the Borobudur has 37 levels) where beings experience peace and long lasting happiness without suffering in the heavenly environment. In Islam there is no rebirth for the soul.

In Islam there is no rebirth for the soul. Immediately upon death a person begins to feel an awakening to the higher life, made from his deeds in the present life. But this is only a partial realization. It is on the Day of Judgment that everyone is fully awakened and raised to the higher, spiritual life. It is called the Day of Judgment because each person shall then become fully conscious of the effects of his deeds in this life, and have a 'body' (so to speak) made out of his or her own deeds. Until the Day of Judgment, deceased souls remain in their graves awaiting the resurrection. However, they begin to feel immediately a taste of their destiny to come. Those bound for hell will suffer in their graves, while those bound for heaven will be in peace until that time. Heaven is presented, according to their concept, as an immeasurably large garden literally abounding in beautiful trees casting eternal shadows under which rivers will flow. The rivers would be of milk and honey. The garden will be fruit bearing and all man may desire of fruits would be his at his command. The meat would be that of birds of all sorts; it is only for one to wish which meat he particularly craves. Female companions of exceeding beauty and refinement would be provided to the pious men, with no limit imposed on the number, which will be decided according to their capacity. All that a healthy spiritual man was craving was nearness to God and His attributes and to imitate divine virtues. In heaven, such a healthy soul would begin to see and conceive and feel the nearness of the attributes of God like never before. They, according to the Promised Messiah, would not remain merely spiritual values, but would acquire ethereal forms and shapes, which the newly born heavenly spirit would enjoy with the help of the erstwhile soul, which would function as the body.

In Shintoism, we find the worship of ‘kami’. Every kami has a ‘rough’ side (ara-mi-tama) and a ‘gentle; side (nigi-mi-tama), but you will not find a foil to God and Satan in them. Because of this there is no concept of the wrath of God or the separation of God from humanity by sin. The general concepts concerning the afterlife are the belief that a person becomes a spirit-deity, and eventually becomes a part of a collective ancestral spirit. Even though an afterlife isn't heavily emphasized, a Hades-like realm, called Yomi, is briefly mentioned in the Nihongi and Kojiki within the creation story involving Izanagi no Mikoto and Izanami no Mikoto. Custom dictates that a few decades after a person's death, their memorial tablet is thrown away and replaced with a pebble, and the collected pebbles from generations of doing this ritual represent the family guardian. This seems to suggest that people believe some sort of link is broken at that point - either that the soul finally leaves this world, or that it loses its individuality and becomes part of the guardian spirit. Shinto lore suggests the soul has multiple sections that can act and move around independently, so it may be that different parts have different afterlives - one being reincarnated, one becoming a guardian, etc.Christianity wants our souls free of sin before we die, to reach salvation in the next life. Hinduism wants their followers to be good so that they are not reborn to a lower form of life. Buddhists want us not to have any attachments, so that we can reach Nirvana. The Shinto faith, on the other hand, wants all of us to not even focus on the afterlife. In fact, Shinto does not want us to even fixate on our death, which is in contrast with other religions. (not to be considered as a complete original piece)

I am convinced that God has done nothing more than given us five lines, and told us that he's going to draw a picture of the end of all things in which each of those lines is an integral part. I am further convinced that Satan will be able to figure out what that picture will look. he knows probably more than I know, and has undoubtedly taken the time to read every work on the end of the world ever produced, no matter how minor (even, I suspect, this one), it must also be true that none of us will ever correctly predict the end of all things in any important detail

ELECTION CONDUCTED NATION LOOTED

‘Jai ho’ is exactly what fits the Indian political scenario—the 15th lok sabha elections. Hail to the great Indian leaders who flaunt large amount of money provided ‘by the people’ money used ‘for the people’ and at the end of the day when the election is won it is time to ‘bye the people’.
Taking a holistic view of the current situation we can say that the world’s largest democracy is witnessing a spending of money which is about double the amount that was spent on the U.S. presidential elections. According to an estimate Rs.18,000 crores are being used in the Lok Sabha polls, the U.S. presidential election needed to spend Rs. 10,00 crores. Though fighting elections were somehow an expensive affair, this time the expenses reached an astronomical height. Whereas Rs.4,500 crores were being spent on the 2004 Lok Sabha elections, this time it sky-rocketed to Rs.18,000 crores. Here I have no intention of any blame game or to advocate any political party. I intend to question how fair it is for a country to where 81 million people live under poverty-line, the leaders are electioneering using helicopters. According to Hindustan Times as many as 60 helicopters are being chartered this time which costs the MPs Rs. 75,000 to Rs. 2 lakhs per hour!!
The large amount of money is basically used to dupe people. This takes the form of distributing hard cash among the poor people. This practice out rightly contradicts the election related laws framed in 1950s, with the objective that money cannot be used to influence the outcome of elections. Whereas, People’s Representation Act 1951 requires every candidate to maintain complete financial transparency, the state has completely failed to curb the illegal spending on the elections. Let us consider one example. Mumbai, the country’s financial capital has some 11.2 million people living in the slums and it is this Mumbai where, one out of every four MP candidate is a ‘crorepati’ with average value of asset of Rs. 3.4 crores. Abu Asim, an Samajwadi Party candidate has a property of Rs. 124 crores. Now, see the contrast. Dharavi, one time Asia’s largest slum and the infamous living place for the poor, the slum which brought India under Oscar lights has seen no development since the MP elections in 2004. In Dharavi, where the slum population has increased constantly, the shelter for the poor has been decreasing. The slum areas were promised a Rs.15,000 crore redevelopment project and also n number of promises they vanish as the election ends.
Now how fair are those people when they file their election expenses? According to Sec.10A of the People’s Representation Act every candidate is required to file their election expenses to the EC. But this is really questionable that how come we trust the people to be fair who spend Rs. 2 lakh per hour for chartered helicopter when the EC stipulated expense for total campaign is Rs. 25 lakhs?

Oily assault for the polar bears

Sounds like US are venturing to jeopardize the balance of Nature and its possession.
The US administration has given acquiescence to seven oil companies to drill oil in the Chuckchi Sea, which is the habitat of a large number of polar bears. Sounds like what President Bush told in his 2006 State of the Union address now finds the way to actuality- “ we have a serious problem, America is addicted to oil.” Now this addiction becomes an obssession and is poised to destabilize the existence of polar bears. At this juncture, one point that comes first in mind is why the US companies are targeting the Chuckchi Sea. According to the Mineral Management Service, Chuckchi Sea is one of the few frontier areas where oil and gas deposits could amount to 30 billion barrels of oil (more than Prudhoe Bay). At the same time, Chuckchi sea is also the owner of another rare natural vanity- 10 percent of the world’s polar bear population.
Polar bears are the first creature that was enlisted as the first creature to be affected by the climatic change. The huge loss of ice in summer in 2007 has lead many scientists to believe that Arctic could be ice-free in summer as early as 2012. Though the polar bears were declared as endangered species, the official announcement of which was supposed to come on January 9th ,silence reigned in the US Fish and Wildlife Department. This portentous silence, as it might be called, facilitated the auction of 30 million acres of area in Chuckchi Sea, worth $2.6 billion in spite of 670,000 comments in support of protecting the polar bear under Endangered Species Act including letters from eminent polar bear experts and more than 60 members of Congress. The loss of habitat for the polar bears, lack of food might be fatal. Also melting of ice due to oil operations will affect the polar bears as they might drown in the water. At this stage, what comes at the top of the mind is that, had the polar bears been declared endangered on January 9th, the auction of Chuckchi Sea would not have occurred so effortlessly. Adds to this is the productive game of hunting poar bears which is a 2-million dollar per years income for the people of northwest Canada.
Such kind of drill is likely to affect not only the polar bears, but also bowhead whales and gray whales. Though the industry claims that it has good records of maintaining the safety measures, it might not be the case everywhere. Oil drilling cannot be done safely in the Arctic offshore ecosystem. There is also a chance of an oil spill which might cause ecological debacle. The Inupiat people’s maritime culture will be hampered. Besides this, normal industry operation like seismic survey, vessel traffic, aircraft, pipe construction will have to bear the impact of the lease. However, the US government showed its furtive attitude to set the auction for only $2.6 billions as several lawsuits are still awaiting. So , there is a feeble possibility that might nullify the sale altogether and the Government has to return the money to the bidders and stop petroleum operation there completely.
At the end of the day, as it seems now, President Bush is correct about how addicted US is to oil, inviting their grief themselves- climatic change, pollution and hence pillaging the resource. The situation is alarming. Keeping in view the battle royale in November, its time to relook into the matter with political intercession.

DRC- Dilemma of Resources for Congo

Democratic Republic of Congo, the third largest country in the world, almost the size of Western Europe is grasping after the noose of poverty and hunger has strangled its economic throat. Gaining its independence in 1960, DRC has been put into frying pan from fire.It has since then been witnessing ethnical riots and pseudo-colonial aggression from countries like USA and EU who have been vying desperately to grab the natural resources of the country which is the largest exporter of cobalt and fourth largest exporter of diamond, DRC has suffered from ethnic scuffle. Carrying a huge resource for bio-fuel, Congo is also carter of an odd 56% mal-nourished people and 70% of people suffering from hunger, Congo is baffled how to use the natural resources at its disposal.
According to UN reports by economist Dr. Schmidhuber, there are 85- 115 millions of hectares of land of which only four millions can be irrigated. Yet after having such land resources which can cultivate food for 2-3 billion of people, the country has to import food from European Union. The blatant reason lies in the fact that only 5% of land in Congo is cultivable.
So, if DRC has such potentiality, doled out by Nature, for its people why it is so lowly placed? The greedy Goliaths of the world are eyeing DRC as their prime prey. Of these economic giants, China has successfully forayed into territory of bio-fuel resources in DRC. According to a report by John Farmer and Ann Talbot China has established itself in Congo by providing US$ 8 billion dollars for infrastructure projects and mining operations. This will give China control over several important copper and cobalt mines. This is just the beginning with mines. Still Congo has eerie 85- 115 hectares of land left and tropical forests. These forests can be planned to be used for palm plantation to meet the spiralling need for agro fuel for European and US cars as well as China’s demand for palm oil.
UN economist Dr. Schmidhuber says that Congo can use the maverick expanse of land for cultivation of palm oil. He says that the palm oil can help the poor farmers in Congo who live earning less than half US$ per day to produce their own fuel and limit food production. But there is a possibility that it might lead to ecological imbalance. If palm oil plantation wrack those people who are dependent on the forests for their livelihood, it is certain that it will disturb equilibrium between economy and ecology. Palm oil plantation will be possible when the forest will be accessed. This means forest will be logged, timber will be sold and revenue will result.
Already a Chinese company has signed a billion-dollar contract to start cultivation of palm oil in 3 million hectare of land which means a huge loss of forestry. Congo’s fuel price problem has reached nadir point resulting in hunger problem. Dr. Schimidhuber stresses too much on the cultivation of fuel crop. But if fuel crop is cultivated at the cost of food crop how the productive land will help to eradicate hunger, one of the burning problems of the country? If most of the farm land is used for cultivating palm oil, 145,000 small-scale farmers will finally migrate to cities which will aggravate the agro-based problems.

Karza maafi

Maharashtra- the state which carved a special place in history with the largest number of farmer suicides in a span of one year also witnessed another important event along with the rest of the country- ‘the world’s richest cricket tournament’- Indian Premier League (IPL). We cannot call this govt. to be a biased govt. who mainly works as a ‘pro-poor people’ or is an ‘aam aadmi’ govt. if the Govt. gives a Rs.9, 310 crore Loan waiver for the poor people of Maharashtra, then the IPL also gets a waiver of Rs.10 crore. Mumbai will host 10 IPL matches including the final. The govt. of Maharashtra is said to have given a waiver of Rs.10 crore in revenue only. The direct recipient of this loan will be the rich businessmen and the film stars of Mumbai who found pleasure in auctioning teams and players. According to law, any event of amusement, whether be it a cricket match or any cultural event has to pay the entertainment tax. Though the IPL will hold 10 matches in Mumbai, it will not pay the tax. This is not for the first time that tax is being written off by the Govt. The BCCI always had political blessings. But it is also not for the first time that tax is being exempted by the govt- whether state or union. If we look at the period from 2000-2004, we will see that the nationalized bank wrote off Rs.44, 000 crore. Most of this went to a small number of affluent people. The most glaring example was the write off given to a company owned by Ketan Parekh group. The write-off in this case was Rs. 60 crore. However, those waivers were given mutely.
In 2004, the last reigning year of the NDA, the write-off percentage went up to 16% and has never come down since then. If this is the figure with the rich people, then how much a poor can expect? Behold. The number of farmers in Maharashtra owning less than one hectare land is 7.2 million and a like number of them have accounts in banks. The total outstanding against the accounts is Rs.20,499 crores. If we take a closer look we will see that it is the same amount the bank writes-off as bad debt in the manufacturing sector. Now, the number of farmers owning land between one to two hectares is 5.9 millions. Similarly, a like number if them have accounts in banks and the amount outstanding in their name is Rs. 20,758 crores, which makes that some 13 million people have outstanding of less than Rs.44,000 crores which has been written-off, by almost Rs.3,000 crores. The NDA govt. can give the waiver to the rich people but what did the poor get? Yet after such a budget by UPA, which gave farm loan waiver analysis of which was done by CEOs of companies and stock brokers, and business editors (what a pity!!), some attractive face on the TV screen will say –“now some budget bad news. India Inc.’s plea for a cut from the corporate tax went unheeded.”
The Union budget this year carried a loan waiver of Rs. 60,000 crore for the farm people. But there was also a spoil game played by Union Agriculture Minister Mr. Sharad Pawar (also known as ‘cricket minister’). Regardless of, why the waiver came in 2008 only, let us have a look how it was distributed.
The most crisis area of Maharashtra was Vidarbh and Yavatmal. But why more loan was given to the farmers outside Vidarbh? Why more loan went to West Maharashtra- Mr. Sharad Pawar’s strong foothold? The sugarcane farmers of Vidarbh outside Rs. 13,000 per acre as average crop loan. Apart from this, Rs.18, 000 per acre was given to the farmers for drip irrigation. And the grape growers outside Vidarbh saw the pinnacle- Rs. 80,000 per acre as average loan. But, Vidarbh farmers got average loan of Rs.4,440 per acre.
The IPL reports came shortly after CAG reported on ‘Farmer’s Packages’ in the state. Though, the report carried the information that the number of suicides increased to 1414 in 2006-07, the MLAs did not pay any heed. The CAG said that no proper attempt was made for the evaluation of distress. Tens of crores of rupees for farmers in the state were never spent; cheques given to people were dishonoured because of ‘want of cash.’ The self-help groups were given subsidies in excess. Parts of farm loans were not released at all. A major part of the loan went under-utilized. This how a fund of Rs.4, 825 crore was utilized by the Govt. so why is this 10-crore loan for IPL? The CAG also reported that the when the farmers of Maharashtra wanted some assistance for real price, the Govt was busy. giving waiver to IPL. Matters like seed requirement were dealt indifferently.
In the state this year, there have been over 360 farm suicides and 200 of them pre-waiver with 153 in January and February, then calculate how many in post-waiver? Though, the Govt. regarded only 18 of them as eligible, it did not forget to give waiver to IPL, the real people who need ‘waiver’.

INFLATION IN U.S — THE LOOSING WORTH OF ECONOMY

Inflation in a developed country or in a developing country is an inevitable menace. Some nations try to rein the vicious spiral by enforcing strict fiscal measures. Inflation in US has been relatively steady. Though, there have been occasional cases of erratic high inflation, US have maintained a steady inflation rate of 3% for the last 30 years. In India, inflation has escalated to 8% on 30.05.2008.
If we scrutinize the reason for inflation in recent US, we will see that increasing cost of business plays an imperative role. The reason for inflation in US being significantly low is that the people have relied too much on the stock market rumble of the 90s for the supply superfluous cash. US economy says that even 3% inflation has a momentous role to play. US economists say that after 30 years of 3% inflation, one million dollar will buy about $400,000, that means 3% of inflation has already devoured 60 % one million dollar. Though 3% inflation is considered to be manageable, rate of inflation will rise once again, when the majority of the US middle-class will get saturated with debt. This will create an impasse in the sense that it will stagnate the economy until some of the debt is paid.
The recent inflation in US has brought to focus one obvious factor- no stock- even a commodity stock is resistant to inflation. Though gold has managed to make a come back to deal with a price above $700/oz , oil-and- mining put a halt in its drop, resource stock are getting over-heated. This is the case especially with the precious metals like gold and heavy stocks. This calculated fall of dollars is likely to turn into a fiasco. If this is not controlled in time, it will adversely affect the economy. US economists fear that it will eventually take gold near $ 1000 and oil near $100. Gasoline prices have hit up to $3.8 a gallon and diesel price by 64% from a year ago.
Inflation, as Peter Schiff puts it, is America’s ‘greatest export’. The substantial increase in prices of domestic consumer goods is created by the growth in money supply. This is a direct effect of the artificial demand of inflation, which has put more dollars in the hands of the US consumers. In USA, there are two ways open to the US citizens to use up the excess dollars. One- to buy US financial assets and two- to exchange the dollars with commodities like gold or oil. If they exchange it, then it comes back once again to the economy without adding any extra value.
But in the end, let us concentrate on the fact whether low inflation has any effect on the mechanism of business. Though low inflation increases the chance that at some point, the business mechanism will generate deflation, the danger is not great. In fact, deflation and low inflation revolves round the same point somehow. All economists put their belief in the Fisher theory which states that if one can change the average trend rate of inflation and then wait long enough, nominal interest rates will adjust point-to point to the change in the rate of inflation and real rate of interest will return to equilibrium. There is no reason that we cannot rely on this theory since the failure of this theory (if it happens) will only cause a certain degree of wealth to be redistributed from creditors to debtors.
